The process of lifting and maneuvering shipping containers can be challenging without the right equipment. This is where shipping container hooks come into play. Developed specifically for use on the corner eyes of sea containers, these hooks have become an indispensable tool for direct lifts.
Types of Shipping Container Hooks:
The Crane Hooks are available in 3 different versions to cater to various lifting needs. These variations include left and right versions for use as slings, as well as a 90-degree version for direct lifting. These hooks are designed to securely attach to the corner eyes of container corner castings, ensuring a stable and safe lifting operation.
Versatility in Angles:
One of the key features of shipping container hooks is their ability to accommodate different angles. These hooks are available in three main configurations: 45-degree right, 45-degree left, and straight. The 45-degree hooks allow for lifting at an angle, providing flexibility in maneuvering containers in tight spaces or when adjusting their position during transportation. The straight hooks, on the other hand, are ideal for direct vertical lifts, ensuring a secure and stable grip on the container during the lifting process.
Impressive Weight-Bearing Capacity:
Shipping container hooks are engineered to withstand heavy loads. With a working load limit (WLL) of 28,000 pounds, these hooks are designed to handle the weight of fully loaded containers with ease. This high weight-bearing capacity ensures that the hooks can be used for a wide range of applications, including lifting containers onto trucks, ships, or other transportation vehicles.
Purpose-Built for Lifting:
It is important to note that shipping container hooks are designed exclusively for lifting purposes. Their sturdy construction and reliable grip make them an ideal choice for lifting containers, but they are not intended for any other use. It is crucial to adhere to the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations to ensure the safe and proper use of these hooks.
