Sea Can Container Corner Castings or Corner Fittings are the carbon steel corners of an ISO 1161 shipping container. 

They allow a container to be connected to other containers (horizontally and vertically), and transport modes such as ship, rail, and road.

Corner Castings are also used to allow shipping containers to be lifted and transported.

A standard shipping container uses 8 corner castings: Top Left - 2 Top Right - 2 Bottom Left - 2 Bottom Right - 2
